Why should you bother boring yourself with my uninteresting life? Well for those four of you who do visit this site on regular occasions, let me tell you a bit more about myself. Maybe then you can get an insight into the mind of a serial reviewer.....

Currently residing in Thornaby, England (one of the most uneventful places in the world but proud to call it home) I've been here for all 26 years of my life. I've let pretty much a generic life up until now - gone to school, college and then university. Now that I've graduated from uni, I am working full time at Blockbuster (yeah I know but it's a job). Whilst the company indoctrinates me with it's over-enthusiastic approach to home entertainment in a Clockwork Orange-style fashion, it does allow me to be on the forefront of the industry and get to rent out a hell of a lot of trashy horror films for free, of which I wouldn't bother renting if I had to pay so it suits me fine. And of course, I watch plenty of films in my spare time given the entire nature of this site. So the two go nicely together.

Since I've watched a lot of films in my life so far, I thought I'd spread the word and let everyone else know what the films are like. I'm not afraid to speak highly of a film classed as trash by mainstream critics, nor am I afraid to completely hate a film that is labelled as a modern day classic. It would be an extremely boring world if everyone liked the same films but I know that a lot of people like horror and it's dozens of sub-genres, hence the reason I devote much of my time reviewing horror films. It's my favourite genre and I feel that no other genre can give you such diversity with classics such as The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and The Thing and then Zombie Creeping Flesh and Camp Blood.

My favourite film you may ask? Well it's actually The 7th Voyage of Sinbad. I've loved it since I was a kid and still continue to love it today. Best time to watch films when you're a kid - they make impressions on you for the rest of your life. Also featuring highly but couldn't make it to my favourite film are: Jaws, The Thing, Killer Klowns From Outer Space, Star Wars, Aliens, Ghostbusters, Destroy All Monsters, Predator, Tremors, The Terminator, The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring and Dawn of the Dead. I am also a big mark for Hammer Horror, the British titans of the genre who made a massive contribution to horror filmmaking. Peter Cushing is the greatest actor to have ever starred in a horror film, closely followed by the second greatest, the immortal Christopher Lee. If you've never seen either of these two actors in their prime, do you really call yourself a horror fan?

But there are plenty of other genre films on the site - science fiction, fantasy, action and thrillers. I don't bother to review comedies or romantic dramas, etc because I simply don't watch many of them. And besides, the site would get WAY too big if I included reviews of every film I watch. The Blues Brothers is one of my favourite non-horror/science fiction films. It's got some great stunts, great music, great comic moments and two great performances from Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi. Also high on the list of non-site reviewed films are possibly the two funniest films of all time. No, not Duck Soup or Some Like It Hot - I'm talking about The Naked Gun and THE funniest film ever made, Monty Python and the Holy Grail. The latter contains some of the greatest sketches ever seen on film. More modern classics include the eternally quotable Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, The 40 Year Old Virgin, Blades of Glory and more recently, Superbad.

I update the site as often as I can at the moment, now that being a store manager takes up a lot of my day.

So I hope this has been of some help, most probably it hasn't. But I hope you enjoy the site and please come back! I need hits!
